One of Laura's workshops projects from 2017 is now available as a kit! This ornate necklace takes its inspiration from the beautiful passion flower plant. These unique floral forms are meticulously recreated in 3-dimsional beadwork. Each flower is constructed using one continual piece of thread and by utilizing a combination of stitches. I've substituted Swarovski pearls of the same color for the pave beads originally used int the design - the paves aren't available anymore and the substitution has the added plus of reducing the kit price by $75 (from the original $195 to the now $120). Flowers are more 3-D than they appear in the photograph . . the center pistil actually stands up off of the form creating a botanically correct reproduction of the flower.
Techniques include right-angle weave, peyote stitch, and herringbone.
