Long recognized as a symbol of the "lightness of being" and bearers of love, joy and good fortune, these whimsical garden visitors are stunning in their coloration and always a source of entertainment. This necklace is constructed using a combination of off-loom bead weaving techniques and bead embroidery. The lovely creature in this necklace is highlighted with a cubic zirconia studded beak and accompanied by a lovely flower on the neck strap.
The detailed instructions provide precise direction as to the placement of all of the embroidered elements as well as step-by-step for the off-loom components. Also included are tips about bead embroidery and working on leather.
Techniques include embroidery, peyote stitch, herringbone and chenille.
