Blast off into the realm of Interstellar Beading with the Space Master Class!
This year's Master Class is a Space Mission! As we contemplate the stars we'll refine our beadwork and explore all the creativity the Universe has to offer.

Included in this workshop are the kits for six master class exclusive projects, a master class exclusive book, eight weeks of videos for your permanent collection and weekly zoom office hours as well as the opportunity to join a Space Master Class Facebook group.

The workshop is in video format, so while these videos are released weekly, you are free to work at your own pace. Videos do not expire. This time around I have also included a 2 week long "Mid-term Break" in the middle of the workshop to allow some time to catch up or just take a breather.

Workshop begins March 22nd, 2026 (to allow time for kit boxes to arrive).

What's included in the price:
Everything! Eight weeks of video workshops accompanied by detailed, full color, step-by-step instructions bound in a workshop exclusive book and bead kits to make each of the projects featured in the workshop. There will be weekly office hours you are invited to attend and the opportunity to connect with other Master Class students through the Space Master Class Facebook group.

Each week a new video will become available which coordinates with the printed instructions. This will be automatically added to your Projector Stream account once you have registered with projectorstream.com.

Here's the syllabus:

Week 1: Inspiration
Week one is a conceptual week in which we will focus on sources of inspiration and the importance of curiosity in the quest for understanding our unique perspective and pursing and producing art. There will be no beaded projects this week but rather a journey into the vastness of the Universe.

Week 2: Full moon Chatelaine
In our first week of beaded projects, we will great up for our journey. Taking inspiration from Victorian style chatelaines, we will apply a space-age aesthetic to this classic and practical accessory.

Week 3: "Looking Into Space" Sculpture
In week three we will look out into our solar system for a glimpse of the planet Jupiter. This unique sculpture features magnifying lenses to help us better see this remarkable giant in our own set of planets.

Week 4: Shooting Star Necklace
In week four we will wish upon a shooting star. This highly structural necklace combines the delicacy of a star form with t he blazing fire of the meteors that speed through space and even venture down into our atmosphere.

"Mid-Term Break"
We'll take a two-week hiatus at this point in the class to allow a break and an opportunity to catch up. I'll continue to offer office hours during this time but for two weeks I won't be releasing new videos.

Week 5: Solar Center Treasure Box
This week we'll focus on the center of our solar system: the Sun. This unique, vibrant yellow dome contains with in it a treasure box in which we can store secrets of the Universe.

Week 6: Intergalactic Necklace
In week six, we'll travel from one galaxy to the next (and to the next!) as we build this striking necklace which features three spiral galaxies in it's centerpiece.

Week 7: Extra Terrestrial Sculpture
In week seven, we will fraternize with the locals! Odds are they're out there and we'll take a little time to know them better as we create this unique (but friendly) interstellar creature.

Week 8: Creativity
This week we'll return to either and explore creativity and the creative process in greater depth. We'll consider how the different projects have been brief glimpses into a few of the gazillions of forms that make up our ever expanding universe.

This workshop is set for a designated ten weeks (8 weeks of video with a 2 week break midway through). I am transitioning to a new (and better!) platform called Projector Stream. Once you have set up your account, I will be able to add your videos to your account - no VIP codes required as was with Vimeo. These videos will be permanently available for future personal reference. The beauty of video is that it can be watched at the student's convenience and re-watched as many time as necessary to review any of the steps of the process.
